Pictures are worth a thousand words. Check out the photos taken by the marvelous photographer, Melissa Jentzsch, of the Grange’s Centennial Pancake Feed. THANK YOU MELISSA!
Not only did everyone have fun and rave about Keith’s buckwheat and the pancake recipe, Finnriver’s blueberry syrup, and Doyle’s Egg and I breakfast sausage, but the event raised money critical to keeping the Grange operating this next year.
When all was said and done, thanks to the generous business and organizations that sponsored the event plus raffle ticket sales, we were able to raise $2,000 for the “Grange Maintenance Fund”.
Currently, the amount of money the Grange takes in from rental income is not enough to completely cover ongoing Grange maintenance and operating costs. $2000 will go a long ways towards closing that gap. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
Both the Leader and Peninsula Daily News wrote nice articles about the Grange Centennial. And David Pablo Cohen wrote a very sweet blog post.
Here’s to another Chimacum Grange century! And maybe a second annual pancake feed in 2019?
